Information having reached Sydney that some New Zealanders belonging to the American ship Ploughboy, after murdering some sailors had stolen a boat and left the ship, the New Zealanders who were picked up at sea by the Achilles whaler, in a boat supposed to belong to the Ploughboy, have been given into the custody of the Police on suspicion of murder. — The Sydney Herald (Mon 21 Aug 1837), p. 2.
